The Canterbury Umbrella has been a part of the Canterbury Community for over 34 years. We are a not for profit chairty that provides support for individuals with mental health and physical illness or disability. Due to recent global events we have had to temporarily shut our doors. As many of you know our Cafe provided a stream of income and this has not been hindered due to the doors being closed. 
We are still providing valued support to over 1000 individuals through ditigal plans of support, telephone support and face to face consultions through appointment. 
The issue we have is that this is not sustainable without any income coming into the chairity. We wish to continue this vital work for as long as we can. Mental health care is particularlly important during these times of high stress and anxiety and individuals with disability or vunerable due to their health need to know that they have someone they can call and talk to. 
As things progress will provide more services to the community including affordable food packages and meals delierved to the door....
